3 cups milk, divided
2 tbsp. chopped fresh parsley
1/4 cup flour
1/4 tsp. chili powder
1/2 tsp. dried basil, crushed
1 cup shredded american cheese
3 (5 oz.) cans diced ham

Blend flour into 1 cup milk then add with remaining milk and seasonings to vegetables. Cook, stirring occasionally until chowder boils and thickens. Add cheese and ham. Heat until cheese is melted.
