  • 16 boston bibb or butter lettuce leaves 

  • 1 tbsp. cooking oil 

  • 1 large onion, chopped 

  • 1/4 cup hoisin sauce 

  • 2 cloves fresh garlic, minced 

  • 1 tbsp. soy sauce 

  • 1 tbsp. rice wine vinegar 

  • 2 tsp. minced pickled ginger 

  • 1 dash asian chili pepper sauce, or to taste 

  • 1 (8 oz.) can water chesnuts, drained and finely chopped 

  • 1 bunch green onions, chopped 

  • 2 tsp. asian (dark) sesame oil 

  • 1 (10 or 12.5 oz.) can chicken in water, drained

Cook and stir until the green onions just begin to wilt, about 2 minutes. Arrange lettuce leaves around the outer edge of a large serving platter and pile meat mixture in center or fully prepare and serve. Great warm or cold.
